Guests will enjoy accommodation in the seventeenth-century villa immersed on three hectares of land, surrounded by olive trees. The villa is spread over two levels with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two living spaces (dining and living room) plus a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, and a basement with laundry facilities including washing machine and iron. Guests also have easy access to the local town of Grassina via the SITA bus service (5 minute bus trip) where they can visit the local supermarket or local farmer's market on Friday mornings. From Grassina, the SITA bus service can connect guests to other local towns. Two bedrooms have access to private terraces offering private spaces for writing or relaxing with a glass or two of Prosecco or local Chianti. The residence itself offers plenty of space for writing, including a ground floor courtyard and large patio area with ample space and shade.
You will have full access to the swimming pool, outdoor spaces and gardens.
Located in this tranquil oasis, immersed in the countryside, morning walks offer the chance to catch a glimpse of wild animals such as deers, pheasants and hares that live undisturbed around the local area in which the villa is situated.
The Villa // La Villa
The ground floor boasts a large double living room with classic Tuscan wooden-beam ceilings, grand piano, walls adorned with books and fireplace. The lovely open plan living room leads to outside loggia and with interior courtyard. Also on the ground floor is a fully-equipped kitchen with outdoor access. There is also a dining room with fireplace. On this floor is also a double bedroom with double sofa bed offering outdoor access and a bathroom.

This light and airy room offers with wooden beam ceilings, offers privacy and comfort. There's a lovely marble writing desk (pictured above) and a sunny south facing terrace which offers views of olive trees, the villa gardens and green hills in the distance.
// THE BOTTICELLI ROOM: Double bedroom (Sleeps 1) BOOKED
A master bedroom due to its size, the Botticelli Room is named after the print of the Allegory of Spring (pictured) of which the original can be seen in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. This room boasts an incredible antique writing desk from the 1800's, welcome to be used with care. There is also a wall-to-wall wardrobe in this room.
// THE LA LUCE ROOM: Interconnecting bedroom with double bed (Sleeps 1)
In Italian, la luce means, "the light" and this room offers plenty of it. This room is the only room with two light entry points: a private south facing terrace that looks down over the courtyard, and a north facing window. There is a chest of drawers in this room. This bedroom interconnects with the San Palo room (described below) and access to and from the San Palo room is made from the hallway via this bedroom.

This shared bedroom with a delicate vibe, consists of a double bed and interconnects with La Luce bedroom. Access to and from the hallway and bathroom is via the La Luce bedroom. With a window facing the rising sun with a rural eastern view over to San Palo in Chianti. There is one writing desk in this bedroom.
The Ground Floor Bedrooms

Located on the ground floor of the villa, this room is spacious, with a door that leads out to the alfresco area. The bathroom is shared with that of the Toscana Room.
/ THE TOSCANA ROOM: Double bedroom (Sleeps 1)
Located on the ground floor of the villa, this room is comfortable and compact.
There is one bathroom on the ground floor, and and two bathrooms on the first floor, one of which has a tub in addition to the shower.
All rooms include linen, towels, and complimentary WiFi.
The villa is surrounded by a garden with sun lounges, tables and chairs offering ample space for writing outdoors or for simply relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.
Other amenities include an above ground pool (4.7m x 1.3 m), DVD player, stereo and satellite TV.
The Kitchen // La Cucina
A delightful rustic kitchen that lends itself to socialising while cooking. The kitchen is located on the ground floor of the villa. The kitchen leads to a dining room with fireplace. Food (mangiare) is such a big part of the Italian culture, and it forms a major part of how Italians socialise. So be ready to embrace this side of things during our week away. You'll have the option of preparing meals at home with the group or dining out, but expect to enjoy your time around the dinner table. Good food, good wine, good company!
